What changed today
Strætó says an updated timetable for route 94 takes effect on Monday 26 October to align the bus service with changes to the flight schedule. The route links Hótel Framtíð in Djúpivogur, the swimming pool stop in Höfn and Höfn Airport.
The new timetable does not show a daily service. On weekdays it lists journeys on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. It also lists one journey in each direction on Sunday. Travellers should open the timetable for the exact day and direction rather than relying on a time remembered from an earlier trip.
Who needs to check the new times
The change matters to visitors and local guides arranging travel between Djúpivogur, Höfn and a domestic flight at Höfn Airport. It may also affect accommodation transfers or a wider East Iceland plan that uses the airport as a connection point.
The timetable lists stops and scheduled times, but it does not promise that every bus journey will connect with every flight. Flight times and operating conditions can change. Keep enough margin for your check in instructions and any onward journey.
What to do before travelling
Start with the official route 94 timetable and make sure you are reading the column for Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Sunday. Then check the current flight status with the airport or airline. If a connection is essential, confirm the plan directly with the relevant transport provider.
For a wider stop in the area, our Höfn guide explains the difference between town services and nearby nature visits. Use Travel conditions for links to current road, weather and safety information before setting out.
