Know the area
This climbing wall is in Valþjófsdalur in Önundarfjörður. The local account describes a freestanding basalt dyke and routes generally about 20 to 25 metres long. The approach is part of the commitment, not a roadside stroll.

Access and local responsibilities
The crag is on private land. Speak with the farmer at Tunga on arrival and confirm arrangements with the Westfjords Climbing Club. The published approach is about 1.5 kilometres with 240 metres of ascent. The steep approach and base are not suitable for children.
