Vestrahorn is not one uniform climbing area. The local record includes coastal bouldering sectors as well as traditional mountain routes. Fiskasteinar and Hafnartangi appear in the bouldering guide; Kambhorn appears in the mountain route list.

Access and local responsibilities

Some coastal boulders are affected by the tide. Confirm land access, parking and the condition of the approach locally. Permission to visit a photography viewpoint should not be assumed to include permission for every climbing approach.

Selected routes

Keep a bouldering day and a mountain objective separate in your planning. A similar looking number in the two lists does not describe the same grading system, equipment or commitment.

Grades follow the cited records. They are not conversions or safety ratings. Missing lengths are left unspecified. This is a selection, not a complete route list. Confirm the line, equipment, protection, descent and current condition before climbing.
