A new seasonal option from Boston

Travellers planning an Iceland visit in 2027 will have another direct option from Boston. Delta announced on 16 October that it will fly daily between Boston Logan and Keflavík Airport from 12 April through 30 October 2027. Keflavík Airport independently confirms the same dates.

For visitors based in New England, the new service adds a nonstop choice. For travellers starting elsewhere in the United States, Boston may offer a connection through Delta’s domestic network. The useful comparison is the complete journey from your home airport, including any transfer, rather than the Iceland flight alone.

The dates to use when planning

This is a service for next year. The announcement covers spring, summer and part of autumn, so it can be relevant beyond a July or August holiday. It does not establish a winter service outside those dates.

Allow for the journey from Keflavík

The Iceland arrival airport is Keflavík, even when a flight search describes the destination as Reykjavík. The airport’s official transport page places KEF about 50 kilometres from Reykjavík city centre and lists airport coaches, public buses, taxis and rental cars.

Choose your transfer after checking the actual arrival time. Compare its destination with your accommodation, and leave room for baggage collection and delays before arranging a timed activity. Our Reykjavík guide can help organise the city part of the trip. If you plan to continue along the South Coast, the Vík guide is a useful next planning step.

Before you commit to an itinerary

Check both flight dates with the airline, especially near the beginning or end of the season. Confirm the local arrival date, connection time, baggage allowance and change conditions for the fare you choose. A route announcement does not confirm a seat, price or suitable connection for a particular journey.

Recheck your booking before departure. The seasonal announcement is a useful starting point for planning, while your confirmed itinerary supplies the details that accommodation and onward travel depend on.
