Gerðuberg’s column wall is both a landscape stop and a traditional climbing venue. The local climbing record divides the routes into lettered sectors. Its area description gives a general height range of about 7 to 14 metres, not a measured length for every route.

Access and local responsibilities

The local guide explicitly prohibits bolting. Respect the existing traditional character and verify access before travelling. Keep other visitors clear of any climbing activity without treating the whole viewpoint as your exclusive space.
